11252016 - Blog #2

Life update: It's already past 8pm and I am still sitting inside Starbucks. Looking outside the glass windows, I can still see people standing and waiting for their rides home. Last time it rained this hard, I had to walk all the way to Hijas with my son just to catch a ride home. 

I have been sitting here for almost two hours, watching season two of Game of Thrones and drinking my tepid coffee. It started out warm but after a few hours, it's more cold than it is warm. I have also been corresponding with my friends who are still stuck at the office waiting for taxis to take them home. They invited me to spend the night there, but I begged off since I like being enveloped in a thick warm blanket when I sleep at night. 

So let's talk about Game of Thrones. A lot of people have watched all six seasons. I'm only at season two so bear with me because I am currently hating on the Greyjoys. I am not a big fan of Theon Greyjoy. He seems like a boy who lacks balls, always doubting himself and seeking validation from others. He is also a user of women. He doesn't care about their feelings, just his satisfaction. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the abuse of women seems to be an underlying theme in the series (except for Danny and Drogo, after she mounted him, then it became true love). 

Sansa Stark is a peculiar character. I know she only professes to love Geoffrey since it is the only way she can stay alive. At this point, I have no idea if she knows that she can be used to barter for Jamie Lannister. Well, at least that's Little Finger told Lady Stark. Sansa and Arya for The Kingslayer. We'll see. I'
