I was at the supermarket this morning, and I was able to prove to myself (yet again) that although most people may look like educated, they can still be stupid idiots.
So there I was standing in the Cash Only lane minding my own business when this annoying masculine voice calls the attention of the cashier. So I looked back at the source of the noise and I saw a well dressed man who could be in his late 40s or 50s. He's well dressed, wearing pressed pants and a well-ironed button down shirt. He had a cart full of groceries and seemed to be living the good life.
This well-dressed man asks the cashier in a loud voice, "Do you accept debit cards here?"
Seriously? The sign in front of the cashier clearly says the line is only for cash transactions. The sign was a foot tall. Since the guy clearly wasn't blind, I'd say it's safe to assume that he was just stupid.
